On June 13th it seems Police conducted raid on RMP office in Kozhikode Kerala after receiving some 300 complaints about Money Chain.
It came as a shocking news to me when i came to know that the case they are putting against RMP is Prize Chits and Money Circulation Banning Act, 1978. So i got a PDF document of the "Prize Chits and Money Circulation Banning Act, 1978", (which you can read by clicking on the link)
For people who dont have time to read it let me explain, RMP is surely not going to come under Prize Chits. Most of the time its being confused with Money Circulation only because of the large number of people who promote the business wrongly.
Section 2(c) of the Act defines
"money circulation scheme" means any scheme, by whatever name called, for the making of quick or easy money, or for the receipt of any money or valuable thing as the consideration for a promise to pay money, on any event or contingency relative or applicable to the enrollment of members into the scheme, whether or not such money or thing is derived from the entrance money of the members of such scheme or periodical subscriptions
When you read the above definition its very easy to think RMP comes under it because lot of people are promoting it as a easy and quick money. But only the people who are doing RMP seriously know, how difficult it is to build a sales Team, To Train a person to become good Leader who can manage his Team, To Keep your Team and Yourself always motivated, To first make others Successful and then only you can be successful.
Now coming to the next line " promise to pay money, on any event or contingency relative or applicable to the enrollment of members into the scheme" now RMP never promises anybody that on enrolling they will be getting paid. Only when the person does some work to promote the products and makes a sale, then only person will be paid money so it "neither easy nor quick nor just enrollment."
Next on Page 5 of the PDF Section 11 states:
Act not to apply to certain prize chits or money circulation schemes. Nothing contained in this
Act shall apply to any prize chit or money circulation scheme promoted by-
(a) a State Government or any officer or authority on its behalf; or
"MSIL "a State Government Body is Promoting its Products like Solar Lamp, Induction Cooker and Energy Saver through RMP.
Its clear the RMP is not illegal, its just the misinformation that is given to lot of people that, they will get Financial Freedom by just joining the company.
So Friends to conclude, lot of such event will keep on happening until we keep promoting our business wrongly, in hurry to get a sign up we give half and incomplete information to the prospect in urgency to close, this is what has created the Big drama in Bangalore recently.
